Description
The KMS-30 is a reliable access monitoring sensor that uses a magnetic reed switch to detect the opening of doors, windows, server racks, and enclosures. It operates by sensing the separation of two magnetically interconnected parts—one installed on the fixed frame and the other on the moving door or window.
This dry contact sensor connects to any Vutlan monitoring system or 3rd party controllers, providing real-time alerts and logging when an access point is opened. No external power supply is required, as it is powered directly by the monitoring system.
Key Features:
- Access Control & Security – Detects unauthorised access to server rooms, cabinets, and enclosures.
- Simple & Reliable Design – Magnetic reed switch mechanism with SPST-NO contact configuration.
- Broad Compatibility – Works with Vutlan monitoring units and other dry contact-based systems.
- Easy Installation – Plug-and-play connection with a 1.2m cable for flexible placement.
- Long-Range Connectivity – Can be installed up to 500 meters from the monitoring unit or VT440 extension.
- IP68 Protection – Dust-proof and waterproof for harsh environments.
Use Cases:
- Access Monitoring & Security – Get alerts when doors, racks, or enclosures are accessed.
- Intrusion Detection – Monitor garage doors, gates, and restricted entry points.
- Data Centre & IT Rack Protection – Ensure secure access to server cabinets and networking enclosures.
- Integration with Alarm Systems – Triggers alerts, logs events, and enables automation via logic schemes.
With logic-based event triggering, customisable dashboards, and long-term data logging, the KMS-30 is a cost-effective solution for protecting critical assets and monitoring access points.
