Description
The IP WatchDog2 Industrial is a high-reliability remote monitoring and automatic reset device designed for data centers, industrial automation, and IT infrastructure. It can monitor up to 12 network devices (e.g., routers, cameras, switches, and servers) and automatically restart them in case of failure.
This model features multiple failure detection methods including PING, web requests, RS-232 heartbeats, and manual reboot options. The built-in 2x relay outputs (DOs) allow automatic power cycling of unresponsive devices.
It can operate standalone or integrate with the SensDesk Technology portal for centralized monitoring, alerts, and reporting.
Device Failure Detection – 5+1 Methods
- Outgoing PING – Sends periodic PING requests to check device availability.
- Incoming PING – Waits for PING responses from monitored devices (heartbeat).
- Web Client – Checks if a specific webpage is accessible on an external device.
- Web Server – Waits for an HTTP request from the external device to its internal web page (heartbeat).
- Incoming RS-232 String – Waits for a predefined character sequence on an RS-232 data line (heartbeat).
- Manual Reboot – A user can restart the device manually via the web interface (password protected).
