Description
Perseus Monitoring 140 – Advanced Remote Environmental Monitoring
The Perseus Monitoring 140 is a LAN-based remote monitoring solution, designed for industrial, telecom, and warehouse environments. It supports external sensors (up to 1,000 variables) via:
- 4× RJ11 ports (1W-UNI sensors)
- 1× RS-485 (Modbus/RTU)
- 4× Digital Inputs (DI) for dry contact detectors
- 1× WLD zone input for water leak detection
- 2× Digital Outputs (DO) for relay switching
Portal Integration
The SensDesk Portal provides:
- Graphs and data analysis
- Alerts via SNMP, email, and device status monitoring
- Open API connectivity (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, XML)
Comprehensive Monitoring & Alerts
Data Collection & Analysis
- Gathers and processes data from external sensors, detectors, and LAN-connected HWg devices.
- Supports automated responses through local conditions, Lua scripting, and scheduled actions.
Alerting & Notifications
- Standalone Alerts:
- Email notifications (SMTP server required)
- Relay output switching based on sensor values
- Local alarms triggered by predefined conditions
- Portal-Based Alerts (Recommended):
- Reliable for LAN monitoring
- Notifies users if the device goes offline (Device Invalid Alert)
- Advanced alerting logic (e.g., “two out of five sensors exceeded the limit”)
Versatile Sensor Connectivity
External Sensors & Detectors
- Compatible with HW Group sensors for temperature, humidity, voltage, current (4-20mA), and more.
- Third-party sensors with relay outputs can be connected via DI (dry contact inputs).
- RS-485 Modbus/RTU interface supports additional third-party sensors.
Water Leak Detection
- Supports a water sensing cable up to 185m via the WLD zone input.
LAN Sensor Integration – Meters API
- Reads sensor values from other LAN-connected devices.
- Example:
- Monitor temperature from 1W-UNI sensors.
- Compare it with an external STE2 R2 thermometer and a UPS temperature probe (via SNMP).
- Trigger an alert if multiple temperature sensors exceed critical thresholds.
Typical Applications
- Remote machine monitoring
- Warehouse and storage environmental monitoring
- Technical room and site monitoring
- Data concentrator for local sensors/meters
- Cabinet and telecom site monitoring
- Pharmaceutical and industrial facility monitoring
- Base transceiver station monitoring
- Greenhouse monitoring
Standalone Monitoring Features
- Email alerts (SMTP server required)
- Relay switching based on sensor values
- Open API for seamless integration (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT)
Mobile App – HWg Monitor
The HWg Monitor app, available for Android and iOS, provides:
- Live sensor data on a mobile device or wall-mounted tablet
- Data access from LAN devices and the SensDesk Portal
- All sensor values displayed on a single screen
The Perseus Monitoring 140 is a robust and flexible solution for remote environmental monitoring, offering both standalone and cloud-based alerting. Ideal for temperature-sensitive storage, telecom sites, and industrial facilities, it ensures real-time data, automated alerts, and seamless integration into existing systems.
